Information & Instructions

Where
The conference is being held at the Silver Star Club Resort. The Silver Star Club Resort and Chilcoot Conference Centre is located a mile above the beautiful Okanagan Valley in the centre of the village of Silver Star Mountain Resort. Connect with Highway 97 to Vernon and follow 48th Avenue to Silver Star Road. The resort is only a 22km drive from Vernon.

When
Registration is Wednesday afternoon, October 16th from 4pm - 8pm where you will pick up your conference package. Learning and sharing sessions start Thursday, October 17th and continue on until late afternoon on Friday, October 18th.

Included
Wednesday evening after you are registered, you have free time to meet and mingle with other Aboriginal leaders from the Okanagan. The hotel rooms and taxes for Wednesday and Thursday are paid for, so take advantage of two nights in a luxury setting at our expense. You are responsible for all other room charges you incurr. Breakfast and lunch Thursday and Friday are covered as well as a banquet Thursday evening. Coffee, tea and pastry service will be provided throughout the conference.

Organizations, corporations, business owners and individuals are invited to be a conference sponsor. Chief Dan Wilson (Okanagan Indian Band) started the ball rolling by sponsoring the conference at the "Bear" level and has issued a challenge to all other Aboriginal leaders to "Be A Bear Or Better".
